Residents of Athens were shocked this morning after four young citizens returned from the nearby forest looking confused and exhausted, claiming to have witnessed what they call “a magical night of madness”.
According to reports, Hermia, Lysander, Helena, and Demetrius entered the forest late at night after a disagreement over love and marriage. Hours later, the group returned claiming to have experienced strange magical events caused by fairies.
Several witnesses reported seeing a small creature, believed to be the sprite Puck, racing through the forest and causing confusion and trouble among the couples.
It was like a dream. Everyone suddenly fell in love with the wrong person.— Hermia, citizen of Athens
Authorities also received unusual reports about a local actor who appeared with a donkey’s head during the night. Sources say the Fairy Queen, Titania, was later seen speaking lovingly with the transformed man during a magical spell.
By dawn, the confusion had vanished and peace returned to Athens. Authorities continue investigating the mysterious events in the forest and promise a full report in the next editions of this paper.
